Solar Light has been manufacturing Solar UV Simulators for over 30 years. Subsequently, UVB and UVA meters were designed to measure and control various light sources, serve as UV safety and efficacy indicators, and as all-weather monitors of the sun’s radiation. An extensive line of radiation meters are now available covering UV, visible and IR in laboratory, weatherproof, underwater, and both low and high temperature environments. Additionally, non-radiation detectors for temperature, humidity and pressure can be connected to a single hand held meter, our PMA (Personal Measurement Assistant), for reading, data storage and process control. Column ozone, aerosol and water vapor thickness are read with the Microtops™.

LIGHT SOURCES for Industry

Solar ultraviolet simulator With solar spectrum at high intensity. Irradiate sunscreens on skin for protection factor, or perform dermatological diagnosis. Test colorfastness and material durability.   Simulators are available with 1 or 6 outputs. Multiple outputs have separate intensity adjustments permitting 6 dose bracketing tests at a time, useful for SPF testing.

Photostability source UV plus visible for rapid stability testing of pharmaceuticals. Powder and liquid containers with light sensors form a convenient package.

Customized sources such as a narrow band spectrum at each output for biological and chemical studies.
