The Material Testing Single port 16S UV Light Source can be configured to generate either UVA only, UVA+UVB or a full Class "A" AM1.5 Solar Spectrum. It exposes materials to high intensity UV light simulating years of sunlight exposure in a few days. The output intensity can be by changing the spot size and adjusting the power supply. The 16S Solar Simulator is ideal for Materials Testing research because of its UV light spectral output and 2% temporal output stability. These specifications make the 16S Solar Simulator ideal for testing because of the accuracy of results coming from a uniform and stable light source.

Description:

UV light exposure at the UVB 280 - 320 nm and UVA 320 - 400 nm range is the ultraviolet light that causes degradation of materials. The 16S Solar Simulator can output either UVA only or UVA + UVB. Using a 3cm spot output the 16S can simulate 1 years worth of UV in only 7 days. With a 2 cm spot output the 16S can simulate 1 years worth of UV in 5.3 days.

The intensity of the 16S Solar Simulator's output can be controlled from the power supply. Full intensity ranges from 500 to 700 J/m2 per minute but the intensity can be tuned down to 1 J/m2 per minute. Solar Light solar simulators are used in testing laboratories globally and meet the latest ASTM spectral irradiance standards.

The 16S Solar Simulatoraccurately replicates the sun's UV light. The 16S meets the latest standards for laboratory light sources by ASTM including G151 and G155 standards.

In the Ultraviolet configuration, the visible and infrared light is eliminated from its output. UV light levels 20-30 times stronger than tropical sun can be produced without the thermal component associated with these high levels light. This allows testing to be accomplished without damaging the sample due to heat.

Features:

Service and Warranty:

Solar Light provides free telephone technical support for the life of our products. We also provide a 1 year Standard Warranty on all of our products covering parts and labor.
> Extended Warranty Plans are also available.

Optional Equipment:

< Dose Control System - The Dose Control System is an optional part of conducting precision UV exposure testing. The Dose Control System allows the monitoring and controlling of the output of the 16S Solar Simulator. It measures the amount of UV being outputted and automatically closes a shutter stopping the UV exposure when a preset dose of UV has been reached.
