Fade & Color Fastness / Plastics and Materials Testing
Solar Light’s state of the art single output Fade & Color Fastness Plastics and Materials Testing Solar Simulators produce solar UV radiation in the 290-400nm range, and can be quickly and easily configured by the user to provide UVA only, UVB only, UVA+B, or full spectrum sunlight optionally. Models are available from 150W / 0.8″ (2cm) to 1000W / 6″ (15.25 cm.) These precision research-grade instruments are specifically designed to comply with laboratory standards such as ASTM, IEC, and ISO. Kits come complete with everything required to begin testing immediately, including Solar Simulators, Power Supplies, Automatic Dose Controllers, NIST-Traceable PMA-Series Sensors, safety glasses, and other related accessories.

The 300W 16S-300-004 Materials Testing Solar Simulator produces a 2.25″ (5.7 cm) Air Mass 1.5 output beam for full spectrum sunlight – ideal for testing the damaging effects of sunlight on materials such as plastics, paints, coatings, inks, dyes, vinyls and fabrics.

The 1000W LS1000-4S-003 Materials Testing Solar Simulator Kit produces a 4″ (10 cm) output in the 290-400nm range, also available UVA only, UVB only, UVA+B, or full spectrum sunlight optionally.

The 1000W LS1000-6S-003 Materials Testing Solar Simulator Kit produces a 6″ (15.25 cm) output in the 290-400nm range, also available UVA only, UVB only, UVA+B, or full spectrum sunlight optionally.

The 150W 16S-150-003 Materials Testing Solar Simulator Kit produces a 0.8″ (2 cm) output in the 290-400nm range, also available UVA only, UVB only, UVA+B, or full spectrum sunlight optionally. Common materials tested include plastics, paints, coatings, inks, dyes, vinyls and fabrics.
